Mimi is a Clinical Psychologist Registrar working in private practice. She completed her Masters of Clinical Psychology in 2015 at Western Sydney University and spent the first part of her career working in private practice and with the Department of Corrective Services in Sydney.
Mimi provides psychological services to individuals experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety and mood disorders, post-traumatic stress, complex trauma, personality disorders, relationship difficulties and situational stress. Mimi sees people of all ages, all across the lifespan, but has a particular interest in working with adolescents, and with women in need of support during the perinatal period.
Mimi works from a trauma-informed framework and takes a strengths based approach to therapy. Mimi employs a combination of evidence based psychological techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Schema Therapy, that is tailored to the individual needs of each client. Mimi provides a warm, empathic and supportive approach to all clients, working with them to feel empowered, draw upon their inherent resilience and bring about positive change.
