Linda is a Clinical Psychologist with 15 years clinical experience as a psychologist in public and private settings. Linda offers counselling and therapy to individuals of all ages. Linda works with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, stressful life events such as grief, illness, loss and separation and relationship or work related issues, stress and post traumatic stress, children's problems, parenting issues, motor vehicle injuries and workers compensation.
Linda's background includes 10 years in private practice with adults, adolescents and children, on campus student counselling services, hospital and outpatient services for elderly patients, diagnostic work with Alzheimer's and dementia, psychological and neuropsychological assessment, and clinical research in neuropsychiatry. Linda has also held manager roles in a psychiatric hostel.
Linda's therapeutic approach is collaborative and she uses evidence based psychological treatments such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) in a focused and timely manner. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to the needs of the client and she also uses rational emotive therapy (RET), psychodynamic approaches and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) for dealing with trauma.
Linda is recognized as a provider of clinical psychology services by Medicare Australia and private health funds. Her Medicare clients are eligible for the higher clinical psychology rebates.
